Do your friends send you a lot of Spotify links through iMessage? Do you wish you could have those songs sent to a playlist automatically, so that you can listen to all of them later? If so, iMessage2Spotify is for you.
NOTE: This Shortcut requires a one-time initial setup to authorize adding songs to your Spotify account. It will not work if you do not set it up first.
After setup, for every song link that you receive via iMessage, the shortcut will add a song to a iMessage2Spotify playlist in your Spotify.
Possible troubleshooting steps:
Try deleting the imessage2spotify.json file in your `iCloud Drive/Shortcuts/` folder to reset everything, and then run iMessage2Spotify again.
Try logging out and back into Spotify Web via Safari if you have issues authorizing during setup.
If you're on iOS 16+, your Personal Automation must be configured to use the incoming message as input to the Shortcut. It should look like this.
If it used to trigger on messages, but doesn't anymore, it could be because Spotify changed their share links in March 2023. Add a Personal Automation for messages containing `spotify.link`. See this GitHub issue for more details.

If you wish to revoke iMessage2Spotify's playlist read/write access (which will disable this shortcut's functionality), go to https://www.spotify.com/us/account/apps/ and press Remove Access
.
Also, delete the shortcut and the file at `Files/iCloud Drive/Shortcuts/imessage2spotify.json`.
