Download Shortcut Add to Collection Like (1155)ShareShortcuts Member:
Do your friends send you a lot of Spotify links through iMessage? Do you wish you could have those songs sent to a playlist automatically, so that you can listen to all of them later? If so, iMessage2Spotify is for you.
NOTE: This Shortcut requires a one-time initial setup to authorize adding songs to your Spotify account.
After setup, for every song link that you receive, you will have to tap on the Shortcut notification and press Run to add it to your playlist. Note that these triggers will stay in your Notification Center, so you can run all of them at once, if you'd like. You don't need to run them immediately after receiving a message.
Your Personal Automation must be configured to use the incoming message as input to the Shortcut. It should look like this.
Possible troubleshooting steps:
Try deleting the imessage2spotify.json file in your `iCloud Drive/Shortcuts/` folder to reset everything, and then run iMessage2Spotify again.
Try logging out and back into Spotify Web via Safari if you have issues authorizing during setup.
If you're on iOS 16+, your Personal Automation must be configured to use the incoming message as input to the Shortcut. It should look like this.
If it used to trigger on messages, but doesn't anymore, it could be because Spotify changed their share links in March 2023. Add a Personal Automation for messages containing `spotify.link`. See this GitHub issue for more details.
