FILES CREATED BY SHORTCUTS DISAPPEAR SPONTANEOUSLY! I am informing this community of a serious bug in iOS 18.6.2, which I reported to Apple; it was repaired in the interim then is back! READ COMMENTS
August 30, 2025 NOTE: There is a bug in iOS 18.6.2 that existed May 9, 2025, was subsequently repaired by Apple and has appeared again.
To anyone developing Shortcuts that Save Append or Prepend Text Files SUCH TEXT FILES SPONTANEOUSLY DISAPPEAR, are deleted by the iOS arbitrarily.
If you notice a text file you created via Shortcuts is suddenly no longer there, it’s iOS 18.6.1 onward to blame, not your misstep.
